About Institute de Informatica
Institute de Informatica (IDI) was established in 1995 by IIT Alumnis with a vision to build Skilled Motivated Analytical Resourceful Transformer – SMART professionals. IDI has been providing training services to Individuals, Institutions and Corporates. IDI’s approach to training is to build strong foundation and teach with examples from live projects.
The key objectives of IDI have been to bridge the knowledge gap between academia and Industry, and provide a forum for useful interaction among professionals. IDI conducts skill development courses on latest technologies including AI/ML, Data Science, IoT, Big Data, Cyber Security and many others.
Learning for Career is an initiative of IDI with a mission to provide a fulfilling and rewarding career to youngsters, and to produce professionals that are respected in their fields, and can contribute positively to society.
IDI is backed by NetEdge, an IT group of companies with offices in USA and UK, having strong relationships with Industry associations like NASSCOM, FICCI, FITT, TiE, and ongoing partnerships with IT companies like Mictosoft, IBM, HP.
Why must I have a Centre of Excellence in AI
The adoption of AI is increasing at incredibly fast speed. For institutions as well as corporates, Skilling in AI and utilizing AI skills to improve business processes is extremely important. This is best achieved by having a dedicated unit that would coordinate and oversee all AI initiatives within the organization. This is where Centre of Excellence is positioned.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has undertaken the implementation of a ‘National Program on AI’. It has a mission-centric approach that ensures a precise and cohesive strategy to bridge the gaps in the existing AI ecosystem viz-a-viz Compute infrastructure, Data, AI financing, Research and Innovation, targeted Skilling, and institutional capacity for Data to maximize the potential of AI to advance India’s progress.
MeitY has setup 7 working groups, the first one of which is for Centre of Excellence, that plans to set up COEs that will bring together experts from academia, industry, and research entities to work on cutting-edge research to create high-quality AI solutions and to develop scalable solutions across sectors. Through these Centres, India will foster a culture of creativity, experimentation, and entrepreneurship to unleash the full potential of AI in India and to establish itself as a world leader in AI innovations.
