Deep Fake BUSINESS UP TO HIGH LEVEL

Devika Mehta is a Deputy Editor at Jagran New Media, the digital arm of India’s largest print media group, Dainik Jagran. She is also a PhD candidate at Amity University, where she is researching the implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Indian journalism. She has 15 years of experience in the media industry, spanning across print, broadcast, and online platforms, in India and the US.

As a media literacy trainer, she works with Vishvas News, the fact-checking wing of Dainik Jagran, to educate and empower journalists, students, and citizens on how to identify and combat misinformation and disinformation online. As a researcher, she explores the intersection of AI and journalism, and how technology can enhance news reporting, fact-checking, and storytelling in the digital age. She is passionate about the responsible and ethical use of AI in journalism, and the importance of perception, transparency, accountability, and community management. With her expertise in journalism and current research in AI, Devika is at the forefront of driving innovation in the field of media and technology.

She is also a contributor to the Research Assessment Panel (AI Observatory) of ‘The Forum on Information and Democracy’ and is a mentor for the 2024 Responsible Tech Mentorship Program by ‘All Tech Is Human’.
